TAKE THE GOLD RUSH CHALLENGE

THE GOLD RUSH CHALLENGE IS FOR 2ND GRADE STUDENTS WHO WANT TO GO ABOVE AND BEYOND THE BASIC CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS. THOSE WHO ACCEPT THE GOLD RUSH CHALLENGE BECOME PART OF A SPECIAL GROUP WHO STRIVE FOR EXCELLENCE. IF YOU WANT TO TAKE THIS SPECIAL CHALLENGE JUST FOLLOW THE STEPS BELOW.

1. Learn all about the topics listed below on your own.

2. Do research through encyclopedias, the library, or just click on the links provided below.

3. Find the correct answers, write them down neatly in your "Gold Rush Notebook", and then study them.

4. Show your answers to Mrs. Bennett, and she will arrange for you to take a short oral quiz.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I TAKE THE QUIZ?

YOU BECOME PART OF THE GOLD RUSH CLUB! YOU CAN BE A 1-GOLD POINT MEMBER ALL THE WAY UP TO A 72-GOLD POINTS MEMBER! ONCE YOU HAVE EARNED 20 GOLD PTS., YOU BECOME PART OF "THE GOLD RUSH HALL OF FAME" AND WILL BE ON MY "WALL OF FAME" FOR YEARS TO COME.
