WILDCAT NEWS

 Note from Ms. Carow

Hope everyone is having a good summer.  I know the weather has been "hit or miss" lately and this rain just does not want to go away; hopefully, we will have more summer days in July.
At this time, I am still in the office on a flexible schedule.  I will be visiting both of my children in DC from June 15-19.  (For the first time in years, they are both in the same state; this makes for lots of good times.)
Thanks, again to the Parent-Teacher Organization at Waterbury for our wonderful last day of school.  The DJ was great and there were lots of dancing feet and big smiles.  It was just a great way to end the school year.
Please, feel free to e-mail or call me with any questions or concerns.  Mrs. Atkins is here most of the time but will be taking days off too so, if you are going to come to Waterbury, please call first.
The next Board of Education Meeting is Thursday, June 16 at 7:00 in the Spring Wood library (upstairs.)

paw.jpg Hot Lunch Program  You may purchase hot lunch tickets using the appropriate form.  The form and your check or cash is processed by Arbor Foods, and the tickets are distributed to your child.  Please do not give your child money to purchase a daily lunch; it cannot be accepted.

     paw.jpg Morning Arrival
Please be informed that supervisors are outside at 8:10 AM.  Dropping your child off or allowing him/her to walk to school before the designated time is, most importantly an unsafe practice, but also not legally responsible.

     paw.jpg Pets and School
Please do not bring pets onto school property during the school day.  No matter how cute or how small, there are children with pet allergies and some who are afraid of animals.  It is also a state regulation that no pets can be on school grounds without special permission.

paw.jpg Peanut-free Zones As is true for the past few years, we have students who are highly allergic to peanuts and tree nuts.  At this time, we have asked that classrooms, if they have one of these children, remain "Peanut free."  During lunch hour, we are using half of a table for these children.  Their friends are invited to join them after lunches are checked.  Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
