Poetry Corner
After carving our class pumpkin, we used our senses to create free verse poetry about the pumpkin. This is what we came up with!
AM Class
Tastes like bugs
Smushy
Tasts like a strawberry
Smells like a pumpkin pie
Feels sloppy
Gross
I feel the seeds
The seeds can break
A real pumpkin
Looks like a monster
I wish it would have a Halloween costume
The goop is lazy
Wrinkly
Hard
The seeds are round
PM Class
Yucky
Stinky
Mushy
Gross
Gushy
Feels like a brain
Round
Squishy
Gooey stuff
Tastes like spaghetti and meatballs
Smells like a bug
Juicy
Pumpkin pie smells good
