Homework

Monday- Your child will bring home an A to Z Reader. Please have your child
read this aloud to you. He/she should be reading this fluently to you.
Practice math facts.

Tuesday- Reread the A to Z Reader. Please write down on the recording sheet
how your child did. This will help determine what book you child will
receive next Monday. Practice math facts.

Wednesday- If your child brings home a paper book, please have him/her read
it to you. Practice math facts.

Thursday- If your child brings a paper book home, please have him/her read it
to you. If there is a practice spelling test or a district spelling
assessment, please practice the words with your child. Practice math facts.

Friday- Please look at the papers your child has in his/her Take Home Folder.

Please make sure your child has a specific place to do his/her homework where
distractions will be minimal. This is a good time to have the TV turned
off.

In addition to this, your child should read at least 10 to 15 minutes per
night. Make sure you write it down on their monthly reading log.
