This is my 29th year teaching in District 20. The last eight years, prior to
this year, I taught kindergarten. I taught second grade for seven years many
years ago and am happy to be part of the second grade team again. I also have
taught students in grades 3, 4, and 6. I received my Bachelor's degree in
Elementary Education from University of Illinios and my Master's degree in
Reading from Northeastern University. My husband's name is Alan, and we have
two sons,David and Jordan. David is 19, lives at home, and has just started
his career as a HVAC technican. Jordan is 16 and is a junior at Conant High
School. I also have a daughter ,Carrie, who lives in Florida with her
husband, Eric,and their two children. My 9 year old grandson ,Koby, is in
3rd grade and my grandaughter,Channing, is 7 and is in 2nd grade. Our family
has a 4 lab named Calvin, and a 3 old lab named Hailey.
My hope is for all the children to have a love for school and learning. I
want each child to know they are valued for who they are and to feel as a
member of our family within the class.
