Week of February 8th - -
A few odds and ends for this week...
* Reading logs are due on Mondays each week. Your child should be reading a
text of his/her choice for a minimum of 105 minutes each week. Please return
with a parent signature.
* Six Flags Six Hour reading is due on February 17th. If you would like your
child to earn a ticket, please record the six hours on the log and return to
school ASAP. Please note that I am not able to accept the forms after the 17th.
* The book order due date for the month of February has been extended to
Tuesday, February 9th. If you would like to order books from Scholastic this
month, please return form and payment no later than Tuesday.
* On Thursday, February 11th, you child will take the first Multiplication
Facts quiz. These quizzes will be similar to addition and subtraction. There
will be 40 facts and your child has 2 minutes to answer as many as possible.
A weekly practice packet will go home and is due every Thursday as well. The
only difference being that YOUR CHILD MUST PASS EACH WEEKLY QUIZ WITH AN "A"
"B" OR "C" IN ORDER TO MOVE ON THE NEXT SET OF FACTS. Please see the math
facts links and check your child's take home folder to note which set he or
she is studying for. This week's quiz will cover numbers multiplied by 0, 1,
and 2 (through 10). Any questions, please ask!
* Friday, February 12th - SIP DAY - Students will be released at 11:50.
Please send a small lunch or large snack to school. NO HOT LUNCH will be
served on Friday.
* Monday, February 15th - No School. Enjoy the long weekend!!
