Background Information

This is my 11th year teaching in the district and I am excited to be
teaching third grade at Elementary East. I am looking forward to working
with your children in third grade! My first year in the district was spent
across the street teaching first grade in the primary building. After the
district's reconfiguration of the building, I spent 6 years teaching first
grade at Elementary West. Then I moved to the Elementary East building to
teach 2nd grade. I have also taught various grades in several other
districts. Every year I enjoy the privilege of watching the children's skills
improve and seeing their individual growth. It always amazes me how much
they grow and learn during the school year!
I also spend my summers working with children at Tamarak Day Camp, where I
have worked for many years. I supervise the 5 & 6 year old boys and work
closely with their counselors to ensure that the children enjoy their camp
experience. I enjoy being able to spend time outside and getting to work with
kids in another environment and helping them with their swimming skills.
I currently hold a Master of Arts degree in Teaching and Master of Arts
degree in School Counseling.

Mission For The Class

My goal is to empower each child to do their best and to be able to use their
own judgement to make good choices. I believe this is important to help them
become helpful members of our classroom and school. I hope these lessons
will help them as they interact with their friends and family outside of the
school environment. These learning experiences will provide your child with
academic skills and life long interpersonal skills.
