How do I contact you?
You can contact us three different ways. You can call at (847)
984-8814,
you can e mail me at sburens@dist50.net mdillon@dist50.net, or
you can write a note and send it
to school with your child.
~If you would like a fast response, please e mail us first. We
check e mail
many times throughout the day and can respond much faster than a
phone
call. Also, we keep the phone on "do not disturb"
during the school day so
calls do not interrupt our learning. You are welcome to leave a
message,
but know that we may not listen to the message until one of our
plan times or
the end of the day.
How much time should my child be reading every night?
At least 15 minutes every night (school night). The more you
read, the
better reader you become!
What happens if my child turns in homework late?
Each student is allowed one "free" late homework
assignment per quarter. If
a second homework assignment is turned in late, the student will
miss 5
minutes of recess and will also have to fill out a homework slip
to be
signed by their parents.
How do I report my child as absent?
To report an absence, please call the main office at (847) 984-
8800. You can
call the classroom to let us know, but you MUST contact the main
office FIRST!
Can I eat lunch with my child?
Yes, on occasion you may eat lunch with your child. You need to
contact the
main office at least 24 hours in advance. If you bring your
child food, we
ask that you do not share with classmates due to allergies,
special diets,
etc.
