My name is Mrs. Susan Dravo, and I am your child's 2nd grade teacher. I
am a 1992 graduate of Elmhurst College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in
Elementary Education. I also have an endorsement as a Reading Specialist.
I am proud to say the 2011-2012 school year is my 20th year teaching and
my 19th year teaching 2nd grade at Woodland District 50. I am honored to
be a part of the wonderful staff at Woodland Elementary East.
My husband Micheal and I have been married for 15 years and live in
Berkeley, Illinois. Mr. Dravo is a firefighter/paramedic for the Downers
Grove Fire Department. We have 3 cats named Butterscotch, Monroe, and
Ashes who share our home with us. My husband and I love spending time
with our cats!
My favorite color is purple. I love peppermint ice cream! I enjoy gardening
in my yard. I have fun baking yummy treats. Mr. Dravo and I like to ride
our bicycles together. I am a baseball and football fan and cheer on the
Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears!
I have always wanted to be a teacher. I had the best 2nd grade teacher,
Mrs. Cheryl Tucker. She was a caring person who made learning fun. I
try to give my students the same feeling of self worth and encouragement
that she gave me. I am confident that this will be a rewarding year for
your child!
