Nut Free

Dear Parents,

As you know, we have a nut free classroom this year; this includes peanuts and tree nuts. Tree nuts include cashews, pistachios, almonds, walnuts, etc. All food items sent to school must be nut-free including lunches, snacks, birthday and party treats. Please be sure to check all ingredients to be sure the item contains no nuts or nut products and was not packaged in a plant where nut products are packaged. Following is a list that includes items that are nut free that can help you assemble safe lunches and party treats. Manufacturers do change their processing, so please be sure to always check the labels for the food items you are sending to school with your child.

We will have time for a small snack during the later part of the morning.  When sending a snack to school with your child, it needs to be a small item as we only have a short time to eat it.  Suggested items to bring for snack include:

Cheese

Fruit

Vegetables

Fruit snacks

Applesauce

Raisins

PREPACKAGED

Goldfish Crackers, Cheez-its or Cheese Nips, Nabisco Teddy Grahams, or Rice Krispie treats,

Saltines,  Wheat-Thins, Triscuits, Nilla Wafers, Graham Crackers, Pretzels

Thank you for your help in keeping our class nut-free!
