I am Mrs. Lewis as of March '07 and was formerly Mrs. Pedraja.
This is my 18th year of teaching at Woodland (2010-2011). I have taught
5 years of Woodland Kindergarten before First Grade here at Woodland
Elementary West. I like teaching First Grade because the students grow and
change greatly during this developmental time period in their lives.
I have a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education from National
Louis University in addition to +45 curricular hours after my Masters
Degree.
I love walking and being out in the sun! I also enjoy quilting, some
gardening and doing lots of crafting. I listen to Christian music and look
upwards for my daily inspiration and sustenance. Am also very involved in a
new church plant - North Point Baptist Church, in Green Oaks.
I am a CHICAGO BEARS FAN!! GO BEARS!!!
To learn to work cooperatively within the structure of a nurturing
environment and grow into being the best individuals they can be!
