Mrs. Singer's email is: MrsSinger123@aol.com (I check this one in the

the school day)
Or send a note with your child.
How often should my child read at home?
The more your child reads, the better. Therefore, it is reccomended that
each child reads for at least 20 minutes per night. It should be
recorded in their Reading Records and returned to school each day. Reading
Records will begin in October.
Why is it important for my child to have a snack?
We work very hard in school and use a lot of energy! A healthy snack
provides children with that added boost - it is also a time during our busy
day to socialize with friends for awhile! Please send only healthy snack
items such as crackers, pretzels, fruit, cheese, granola bars and
unsweetened cereal. Chips, cookies, candy and other sweets are not brain food.
What if I have to pick up my child from school at the end of the day?
If at all possible, please try to send me a note with your child. If you
forget to send a note or in an emergency, please call the school office
(847) 984 - 8900, and let our secretaries know. Without a note or a phone
call, for safety reasons, your child will be sent home via their normal mode
of transportation.
Is it alright for my child to miss school?
Unless your child is truly sick, they need to be at school everyday. Missing
school, arriving late or leaving early can be very disruptive to the child
and to the entire class. I understand that at times, this is unavoidable.
However, please try to make every effort to schedule appointments and
vacations outside of school hours.
