My name is Mrs. Derdiger, or, as many know me, "Mrs. D."
This is my fourteenth year as a librarian in the Woodland Schools. For six
years I was the librarian at the Primary School Library.
I have fifteen years of classroom experience and a Master's Degree in Library
Science.
I love what I do, the people with whom I work and the children with whom I am
privileged to share the wonderful world of books.
1. Instill a love of books
2. Lay the foundation for a life-long reading habit
3. Provide a fundamental knowledge of how a library is organized and how it
functions
4. Incorporate technology into the library curriculum in order to complement
the research and learning goals of the school's curriculum and to provide
wholesome recreational sites for our students.
5. Support staff and administration with their research and curriculum needs
