I have taught second grade at Woodland for many years. Second-graders are a
great age - they still love school, yet are able to be independent enough
to begin doing work on their own. Most important, second graders make me
laugh, and I learn as much from them as they do from me!
My husband and I live in Spring Grove with our golden retriever, Maggie, and
our wheaten terrier, Elly. We have two sons - one is married to a high
school music teacher, and is a professional singer (see Chapter6.com), the
other is a p.e./health/driver's ed. teacher, and varsity basketball coach,
at Grant High School. We have two gorgious grandchildren, and though they
reside in Springfield, Ill., we try to see them as often as possible!
I am truly blessed to have such a rich career and personal life!
When a child grows to their full potential, they grow not only academically,
but emotionally and behaviorally as well. My goal is for your child to reach
their potential in all these areas this year.
