How many students are in class?
We currently have 23 students enrolled in class.
There are 12 boys and 11 girls.
What does my child need each day to be ready for school?
Every day your child should bring to school their "take home
folder", ROAR folder, reading books, and a healthy snack.
Please remind your child if they are getting a hot (from school)
or cold (from home) lunch and if they have any notes or homework
to turn in.
What should I do if I need to pick up my child after school instead of them getting on the bus?
You must send a note to school on that day saying that your
child will be picked up. All notes are sent to the office in the
morning. If you decide during the school day that your child
will need to be picked up, please call the office at
(847)984-8800.
How do I pay for hot lunch?
Our hot lunch program works off of a debit card system. One way
to put money into your child's hot lunch account is to pay using
a credit or debit card online at www.dist50.net. You can also
send cash or a check (payable to Woodland School Dist.50)to
school. If you choose to send money to school, please send it in
a sealed envelope clearly marked with your child's name, Sarah
Cross, 1st grade, the amount, and that it is for HOT LUNCH.
*Please note that it takes 2-3 school days for payments to be
reflected online.*

Is there recess every day?
On full days of school and early realease days (but not half
days) there will be outdoor recess unless it is raining, the temperature
(with the windchill) is below zero, or the National Weather
Service has issued a heat advisory. Please dress acordingly.
(Note: Boots and Snowpants are required for playing in the snow.)
When the class does not go out because of bad weather there were be recess in
our classroom with games, puzzles, Legos, coloring books and more.
