This will be my 10th year teaching first grade at Woodland Elementary East.
I love teaching first grade because of how much the students learn and grow.
I especially enjoy watching them blossom as readers. I received my B.A. in
Education from Trinity International University in Deerfield, Illinois. Last
spring I finished my ESL Endorsement at CLC.
The man in the above picture is my wonderful husband John. John and I got
married in June of 2007. We like to travel and hang out with family and
friends. Our family pet is our dog Stella. Stella is a two year old shepherd
mix who still has a lot of energy. Last year I got two tiny African Dwarf
Frogs for the classroom that have been spending the summer with us as
well. :)
This summer I had a wonderful time visiting my family in Ohio and having my
husband's family visit from North Carolina. I also enjoyed working for the
Deerfield Park District as a site director for one of their 5 year old day
camps. In any season, however, I find pleasure in exploring new places and
trying new things. I look forward to another wonderful year in First Grade!
My husband is Canadian.
I like Junior Mints and Raisinets.
I will be 32 in February.
