      Reading Counts

Directions for locating books in a predetermined lexile range:

For those of you who would like to find library books for your child or
student in their particular lexile range, follow these steps.
  • Here is the link: Woodland Library Link
  • It should be open to the library catalog tab.
  • Type the word "fiction" in the search bar.
  • Go to the bottom of the page where you see Reading Programs
  • Open the drop down menu correctly, "unlimited" (click on the little arrow)
  • click on the word "lexile"
  • You will see two more boxes open for you to enter your child's lexile range.
  • Enter those two numbers and then click return on your keyboard.
  • You will now see all of your fiction books in your child's or student's lexile level.
  • If you click on the blue words, "show all" at the top right side of the page, all of the books will be on one page so that you can simply scroll down through all the titles.

You can limit the fiction books to specific genres by typing the word  "mystery", "fantasy", "adventure" in the search bar instead.  Try other key words too, like animals or sports or civil war.

Any materials that indicate both "Reading Counts Level" and the lexile
number directly underneath are books for which we have a reading counts
      quiz in our school library.
