How do you feel about tracing?

Tracing is a great learning tool for young children who haven't yet developed
the ability to write their own names. Tracing can be a good exercise at any
age, but when I ask my students if they think it would be cool to learn how to
draw realistically 99.9% of them say they want to learn how to draw
realistically. Also, most kids are sick and tired of always using stick
figures for drawing people and other things. So, that is why I prefer not to
hang up artwork that was traced.

Do you give extra credit for doodling?

Not only do I give extra credit for doodling, I give double doodle extra
credit for artwork that was drawn on the back of a graded homework assignment
or worksheet.
