MIDDLE SCHOOL BUILDERS CLUB TO
CREATE CORN HOLE BOARD GAMES
January 10, 2008
Gurnee--Woodland
Middle School Builders Club students have partnered up with their fellow
classmates for this year's Builders Club project.
Students will be creating corn hole
board games. The game is comparable to horse shoes with corn bags and target
boxes.
"Cornhole is one of the fastest
growing games sweeping across America," said Applied Practical Arts teacher
Craig Spata. "It is great family fun and is an addictive game you will not
want to stop playing once you start."
Cornhole boxes have a surface area
of 2-feet by 4-feet, and they gradually slope upward so the rear is several
inches taller than the front. A 6 inch opening is situated close to the back.
The goal is to toss 6-inch square cornbags, filled with authentic corn
kernels, toward the hole at a lengthy distance.
