What does it mean if my child has P.E. on days 3 and 5?

At Woodland, our calendars do not have M-T-W-Th-and F on them. We have Day 1 -
Day 5. If there is a holiday on a Monday then Tuesday would become Day 1 so
that the children will not miss their P.E. class that is on Day 1. This way
your child will still have his/her physical education class two times during a
five day rotation.

How can I find out what "day" it is?

The DAy 1-5 schedule, or Rotation Schedule, is availabele every month in the
front office. Usually, your child's classroom teacher will send home a
calendar every month with the Rotation Schedule on it, along with your child's
Special Classes schedules. It is important to learn what days your child has
Physical Education.

Is my child allowed to participate if he/she is not wearing the proper shoes?

Yes, we have extra shoes in the gym for the children to borrow when they
forget to wear proper gym shoes. A note will be sent home as a reminder to
wear the proper shoes the next time the child has P.E. For health reasons, a
child may not borrow the shoes if he/she is not wearing socks.
