We are half way through The Great Gatsby. I want to encourage you to continue reading and circling back to summarize each chapter as you finish it. We want to read, but we also want to discern between main action and smaller details.
Seniors:
I want to encourage you to not lose your momentum with your Annotated Bibliography assignment. Continue researching, continue reading, continue summarizing, and try to do it all with a purpose. Still unclear about what 20th-century theme to use? Revisit your Elements of Literature textbook!
Again, your priority this quarter is to research and familiarize yourself with the major British and American literary time periods. Much of this work will be self-directed. This is not a suggestion; you must know this information, both for quizzes in class and for the AP English Literature Exam.
