Industrial Revolution Project

Choose a presentation format. Examples include: poster, Power Point, brochure, radio broadcast, etc.

All projects must include:

  • a labeled picture or illustration of the invention
  • a description of WHAT the invention is
  • WHO invented the item
  • WHERE the inventor is from (may substitute WHERE the invention occurred)
  • WHEN (what year) the invention occurred
  • HOW/WHY the invention is important? Was it an accidental invention or was it planned?

  • telephone
  • phonograph
  • incandescant light bulb
  • induction electric motor
  • diesel engine
  • airplane

  • interchangeable parts for muskets
  • fluorescent lighting
  • AC (alternating current) power system
