Week of Nov. 9th

Theme: Kk for Folk tales-This week we will be studying the stories of "The
Legend of the Indian Paintbrush", "The Legend of the Bluebonnet", as well as
the story of Paul Bunyan.
Religion: We will continue learning about our Saints of the Day this week. We
will also continue talking about family and friends.
Phonics/Reading: We will work on writing the letter Kk this week and
on the K sound. The children have really done a great job during reading
groups. We will continue to work on blending sounds to make words to help us
learn to read. Please practice the mini books that come home every week with
your child.
word of the week: review of I, is, said, and
Math: We will be learning about the shapes cirle, square, rectangle, and
triangle. We will make patterns with shapes and combine shapes to make new
shapes.
