Math Meeting

This is our SMARTboard. WE   LOVE   IT!   We use it for almost every part of our day. This is a picture of students doing the math meeting during our morning calendar time.

This is another picture of a student using the SMARTboard. When we learn a new cursive letter, we trace it with our finger.

Computers and our Mailboxes

Center Board:   We do literacy centers 4 days a week during guided reading time. Some of our favorites are Computer, Buddy Reading, Listening Center, Poetry, and Pocket Chart.

Six Traits: When we have a writing workshop mini lesson, Mrs. Schwartz lists what "Good Writers Do"   on a frog and puts it by the trait we are working on.

Listening Center

Book Case-Shhh...don't tell anyone!   Our nifty bookcase used to hold underwear at Kohl's! We are glad that it holds our books in the right spot. We have them organized by theme, genre, and author. We mark the book that we are reading by clipping a clothespin with our name on the outside of the case.

Writing Workshop Frogs---They help us remember if we are writing, revising, editing, or publishing.
