Week of 11/9- 11/13
Don't forget that we are having a coat drive at school. We would love any
mittens, scarves, or hats that you could contribute.

Grandparent's Day is on Friday, November 20. Guests should plan to arrive at
9:30, and the musical/drama performances will begin at 10 a.m. We plan for
the show to end by 11:15, with raffle fun to follow. The show is titled:
Feelin' Good: A Celebration of Health and Well Being. Student dismissal will
be at 11:30. Attire for the second grade performance will be fitness pants.
They can be either sweatpants or warm ups. Mrs. Frantal and I will obtain
and distribute shirts for students to wear.
Our next math concept will be 2-digit addition.
We began our next social studies unit on Native Americans by examining three
stories about southwest tribes. We read Arrow to the Sun, The Girl Who Loved
Wild Horses and The Desert is Theirs. For a writing activity we listed the
problems and solutions from each story.
The social studies test on Native Americans will be on Friday. (11/13) Your
child received a study guide on Monday so that they can study at their
leisure. We will continue our studies this week and review for the test in
class on Thursday.
