Middle School keeps busy!  We are moving into the Industrial Revolution and Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol.  We will take both focus topics into many different directions.  In computers, students will be creating a Powerpoint presentation on a famous inventor, after taking a webquest tour of many different inventors.  In social studies, students will learn the important terms, dates, and figures associated with that time period.  We will delve deeper into child labor, then and now, along with immigration and unions.  Reading class will take a look into Charles Dickens life before reading his classic.  The unit will wrap up with a field trip to the Goodman Theatre to watch the play "A Christmas Carol".
