I will be teaching second grade to your children this year. I would love to
share some information with you.
I have graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor's Degree in
Elementary Education and a Reading Endorsement. I have also completed two
graduate courses in computers and technology in addition to the numerous
workshops that I have attended while employed at FRA. I am honored to share
that I am a two time winner of the BP A+ for Energy grant, each year awarded
a $10,000 grant to be used at our school.
While working at FRA for the past 12 years, I have taught PE/Library, first
grade, Young Scholars, and second grade. While librarian, I began the read-
a-thon program with the goal of instilling the love of reading into the
students of FRA. I have also begun Magic Science with my students. These
consisted of weekly hands-on science experiments within the classroom,
causing excitement in the hearts of all of my students. With this in mind,
there should be no surprise why I have been co-chairman of the annual
science fairs.
I am excited about teaching your children and I know that you will feel the
same!
