READING:
READ! READ! READ!
This year
team members will have the opportunity to participate in an in-depth
study of a particular author's works and styles. Each day a new author will be
introduced and looked at in great detail. Team members will take a closer look
at the author's life, style, motivations, and place in literary history
through fun, exciting projects.
WRITING:
CREATE A NEWSPAPER
Team members will get their wheels rolling as
they work together to plan, write, and publish a newspaper using the writing
process: Pre-writing, Drafting, Revising, Editing, and Publishing. The
newspaper will include: News, Sports and Feature Writing, Interviews,
Editorials, Movie Reviews, Advice Columns, Surveys, Recipes, Puzzles and
Games, and more! The newspaper will be distributed to families on the last day
of camp.
DRAMA & ART:
The drama and art program will provide
students with the opportunity to express themselves in a variety of ways.
*Team members will participate in drama and art activities such as theatre
games, improvisations, face painting, and mask making. Through role-playing,
they will learn problem solving, critical thinking, and teamwork. They will
also gain an appreciation for the history and practice of theatre as an art
form.
KIDS IN MOTION:
Your kids will stay fit, build character and
most of all, HAVE FUN! They*ll participate in activities that are designed to
motivate them to live healthy lifestyles in a high-energy, positive
environment. *Tour de F.R.A. campers will enjoy a different theme each day.
Activities include: soccer, basketball, obstacle courses, rope climbing, rock
climbing, endurance training, and more! On Friday, our campers will have a
blast as they compete in athletic competitions where prizes will be awarded!

Availability is limited. Registration fee includes daily snacks and a
t-shirt for each child. Students must bring their own SACK lunch with drink.
The price for the Tour de F.R.A. camp is $215, of which $50 is nonrefundable. Anyone
registering before March 31, 2009 will receive a $20 discount. Please
make checks or money orders payable to Thespena Panos. Refunds are available
up to three weeks prior to the start of the program. All registrations
received after May 31, 2008 require an additional $20 fee for late processing.
