Hi! My name is Mrs. Sammet, and I teach the 5th grade with Mr. Mayer. I am a
graduate of Memorial High School and Ball State University. This is my
fourteenth year of teaching, and my tenth year at Good Shepherd. I have been
married just over three years to my husband Matt. After getting married, I
became a "West Sider." I attend Resurrection Church and often visit Holy
Rosary Church, the parish in which I grew up. Currently, I am working on my
Master's Degree in secondary education with a technology concentration at
U.S.I. This fall I will complete my action research project and graduate in
December!
I enjoy reading and playing the piano. This summer I learned how to quilt and
am working on completing my first quilt. I am a big Cubs fan, and I like to
watch football, especially Notre Dame and Colts games. My husband is a
die-hard Mater Dei fan, so I also attend Mater Dei football games and
wrestling meets.
I am so blessed to be a part of the Good Shepherd community, and I am looking
forward to a great year!
Good Shepherd School is an integral part of the teaching ministry of the Good
Shepherd Catholic Parish community. The mission of Good Shepherd School is
to "Shepherd the Flock" in a safe, faith-based environment where students are
encouraged to achieve their personal best. The educational journey we
provide meets the individual needs of each learner, promotes life-long
learning, builds positive self-esteem, prepares them for the challenges of
the future, and encourages them to become active Christians practicing the
Catholic faith.
