I am very excited to work with you at Good Shepherd. I love being a teacher
and look forward to all the fun and exciting classes we are going to have
together.
My Family- Husband: Joe, Sons: Jackson (9) & Clark (6), Daughter: Delaney
(4), Dog: Sugar (11)
My Background: Memorial High School, Purdue University, Oakland City
University (Masters)
Teaching History: Previous to Good Shepherd, I spent 4 years as the 6th,
7th, and 8th grade Math and Algebra teacher at Corpus Christi School. I was
the 8th grade Religion and Practical Arts teacher as well.
My Interests: Keeping up with my children who entertain me dearly, Reading
books (when I find some precious free time), Swimming, Exercising at the
YMCA, Watching Purdue & Notre Dame football games, Going to the movies,
Eating Out (love Kipplee's), Visiting with my family
Cool facts about me: I was the Unit Leader for "Groovy Green Garnier" of
Camp Ondessonk for three years. Camp Ondessonk was like my second home when
I was in college. Please share stories with me if any of you have been to
that wonderful place. Also, I was the senior captain of the girls softball
team the first year it was brought to Memorial. Our team was not very
good...but it is good to see that they improved so much to even win a state
title! I was also a Tigerette! I love to dance, what a great form of
exercise. I love and appreciate all of your talents. Please invite me to
come watch one of your games or any performance you might be in over the
year. It is good to be involved in something, and I will support you
whenever I can.
Always try your best, you know if you are giving 100%.
Even if you face a challenge, don't give up. It feels good to overcome
particularly challenging concepts, I want you strive for those good feelings.
I expect progress not perfection. I mean it, you don't have to be perfect,
I'm not perfect, but I expect you to grow in a postive direction.
Always ask if you have any questions, I will try but I can't read your mind,
so ASK.
Have fun in learning, I promise to allow you to experience fun in my math
class.
