I was born in 1959, two years after Sputknik and I was raised in New Albany,
Indiana. I graduated from New Albany High School in 1977, where Edwin Hubble
once taught science. I earned a B.S. Degree in Industrial Technology from
Ball State University, a Masters Degree from Indiana University Southeast in
Secondary Education and a degree in General Science from Indiana University
Southeast.

North Harrison Middle School 1982 to 1995 Industrial Technology
Floyd Central Junior High 1996 to 2004 General Science
Highland Hills Middle School 2004 to present General Science

HASTI Iron Teacher Award 2005
Solar System Ambassador for NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory. I do
presentations on astronomy for Boy and Girl Scouts and other groups.
Science Olympiad Team Head Coach
Member of the New Albany Lions Club.

Family:
I am married to Tamela Brewer. She is the principal at Corydon Elementary
School. We have two children, Scott and Kathryn. Scott is becoming an
English/Science teacher and Kathryn is attending Ball State University and
majoring in Marketing and Photojournalism.
