| Students will research a scientist and present the information to the class
in a powerpoint form. This is a joint project with Computers and Library.
1. In Brief
a.You need to research the scientist that you get
b.You will need to present that scientist’s biography to class using a
PowerPoint presentation
2.The Research
a. The things that you need to find out about your scientist are:
i. A brief life history, including pictures
ii. Important contributions to science
iii. How has this person’s work changed our lives today
iv. Who were they influenced by? Who did they work with?
v. Other interesting information
1. i.e. What field did they work in? Where did they go to school?
What was their most important discovery/invention? Did they have any ideas
that turned out to be wrong? Did they dream of something that turned out to
be wrong? Did they have a problem that they never figured out? Did they
have an idea/problem they never finished? Was this person famous during
their lifetime? Why or why not?
vi. All research and pictures must be cited properly!!! | |
