Welcome to Ww and Xx Week!
Language Arts: This week Kindergarten will explore the book Winter is the
Warmest Season by: Laura Stringer.
Kindergarten will use mental imaging to connect their lives to the text. They
will create a writing piece in which they determine what makes winter the
warmest season. We will introduce the letters Ww and Xx while we word build
new words for the word wall.
We will add to our Popcorn Balls of Knowledge vocabulary and in writing
center, we will concentrate on word choice, organization, and
conventions.
Math:
Science: We will experiment with wheels and pulleys!
PLEASE make sure to send your child DRESSED for the weather! We go outside
for recess everyday!
PLEASE continue to work on shoe tying, buttoning and zipping.
We continue to learn about God as a Creator, the Holy Family, and
stories of Jesus' life. Please make sure to talk to your child about their
special "word of Faith" and
prepare them to share. Everyday we will choose a rock and discuss how it can
help us build our
classroom on a a rock like Jesus build his Church on a rock.
All believers are joined into this church by faith in Jesus Christ his savior,
the same rock on which
Jesus said he would build his church.- Matthew 16:18
