This is my second year at St. Joseph Grade School. Last year was amazing and I
am ready for another year of fun in Kindergarten!
I have been Blessed to attend many professional development seminars and
academies over the last twelve months that have taught me many new ideas.
I have been trained in Gesell Testing, Everyday Mathematics, Curriculum Mapper,
and Junior Great Books. I attended the ASCD Summer Academy on Literacy and
Numeracy in Washington DC with all of the K-2 teachers at St. Joe this summer.
I studied at Marquette University for 2 years and completed my undergraduate
degree at Indiana University in 2002. I worked as an elementary and middle
school counselor for 5 years before I realized I wanted to be a teacher. I
began my journey at Bethel College where I attained my teaching license
after completing their Transition to Teaching program. I have almost completed
my Master of Arts in Teaching and my goal is to have
it completed by 2010.
I have 3 beautiful children and a great husband, Andrew. We have two boys
Austin who is 11 and loves football and Foster, my creative mind, is 9 and
enrolled in 4th grade here at St. Joe. Our youngest and the busiest, is our
daughter Ellery, she is 3 1/2 and has more energy then all 25 of my Kindergarten
students.
I am very happy to be a part of St. Joseph Grade School! I look forward to
meeting all of my parents and future students in Kindergarten.
