TSWBAT read and identify idioms and allusions from chapters 5 & 6.

TSWBAT review lesson five vocabulary words from Wordly Wise indicating a
sentence that suggests the bold faced word.

Activities:  SSR, Boo Talks,  Writers' Workshop, and Oral Reading of TKAM

Homework:  Quiz over chapters 1-4 and the vocabulary - TKAM
           Finish reading chapter 6 and finding allusion and idioms - 8W only!


7L:  

TSWBAT review lesson 6 vocabulary from Wordly Wise.

TSWBAT define and identify adverbs and how they answer the following
questions: how, why, when, where, and to what extent.

Activities:  Action Adverb, Power Point, and vocabulary

Homework:  Exercise C - Wordly Wise
           Final Draft Essay - due Thursday, February 9

novel, To Kill A Mockingbird.

TSWBAT discuss allusions and idioms that they identified in chapters 5 & 6 of
To Kill A Mockingbird.

Activities:  SSR, Book Talks, and oral reading of chapter 5

Homework:  Complete the prediction and comprehension questions for chapters 5
& 6 - 8W only!
*Read chapter 5 and identify two idioms and two allusions. - 8R only!


7L:

TSWBAT identify synonyms and antonyms for list 6 vocabulary - Wordly Wise.

TSWBAT review and write adverbs within sentences and a short story or article.

TSWBAT discuss what they know in regards to the Holocaust.
