this week. They will take a vocabulary and comprehension test over this
story on Friday. Please study the vocabulary words for the test. They will
also be taking an End of the Unit test in reading and language this week.
Language: They will bring home a language and math skills packet on
Thursday. The test is on Friday. Please go over the skills packet because
these are the same sentences that are on the test!

Please study at home for Thursday’s test. Spelling packets are due on
Thursday.
Math: Please work with your child nightly on his or addition and
subtraction facts. They did tests on addition and subtraction facts. Some
students do not know their facts. They need to learn these facts. I’m
sending home the addition/subtraction test for you to see what your child
received on theses tests. They have 3 minutes on the subtraction facts and 2
minutes for the addition facts. These grades will lower their math grade.
They will take another quiz next week. Please work on the facts that your
child did not do and did not know. They will have a test on money on
Thursday. Please have your child count change at home. (One coin that is
introduced to them that is difficult for them is the half dollar.)
Homework: The reading log/math page should have a story that your child
should be able to read on his or her own. Then, the student needs to answer
the questions that are after the page. Please return this paper along with
the reading log/math sheet on Friday. Many students are not completing this
paper.
