I am the 7th and 8th Grade Science Teacher at the Minneapolis Jr. Sr. High
School. I also coach Jr. High Science Olympiad. Sadie is a nationally
licensed therapy dog who I have had the privelege of being the caretaker for
as the MJSHS school therapy dog for 3 years. Sadie enjoyed her time working
with students at MJSHS, but no longer works at the school.
I believe science is important not only in the develpment of a strong
educational background, but also in helping students understand the
importance of taking responsibility for their learning and becoming lifelong
learners. My goal is to have science come to life for my students and
enable them to develop basic science concepts and understand everday
application of these concepts by providing a hands on curriculum including
the use of labs, individual and group projects, and the integration of
technology.
Provide opportunities for students to develop an understanding of science
concepts by experiencing their application to the real world through the use
of hands on activities, research, lab work, projects, and technology.
