What's Happening in Math and Science?
Week of May 12, 2008
Math Update
- This week the students will cash out their stock portfolios. It will be interesting to see how much money they made (or lost) during the last weeks. After the students cash out, they will be reporting to the class about their experiences.
- The students will be taking the NCA post test this week. They will also be taking a final math test next week Tuesday (May 20). We will spend some time in class preparing for the math final.
Science Update
- This week the students will be learning about volcanoes. The students will be completing a webquest to research the types of volcanoes.
- The students will have a science final on Tuesday, May 20. The final will be an open book test. We will spend some time reviewing for this test in class.
Dear Parents,
This is my last update for the 2007-2008 school year. It is hard to believe that next week the school year will be over! I have thoroughly enjoyed teaching your children this school year. They are a delightful group of children with a lot of enthusiasm! I hope everyone has a restful summer, and I wish your children all the best as they begin the adventure of middle school in August.
