What is the grading scale?

I follow the general Nativity grading scale. This may be viewed at any time
on Educonnect (kcnativity.eduk12.net)
o	A = 94-100
o	B = 87-93
o	C = 75-86
o	D = 68-74
o	F = less than 68
Note: +'s and -'s exist in these ranges; see PowerSchool for detailed
listing.

Are Quizzes & Tests weighted differently than homework and classwork?

In my Advanced Math classes, I weight Quizzes & Tests as 60% of your grade,
with Homework & Classwork comprising the other 40%. In my other classes,
both are weighted equally. Current grades are always available to you on
Educonnect.

Will Quizzes and Tests be timed?

Sometimes. I generally try to allow as much time as necessary on major
tests, but I will occasionally limit available time on quizzes. Anyone with
special needs (e.g., students with an IEP, 504, or SSP) will be given
whatever time they need in accordance with individual Plan guidelines.
Students with special needs may take tests in the Learning Center, if their
individual Plan recommends it.

Will seating be assigned by the teacher?

Yes. Upon general consensus, I will allow a seating reassignment following
completion of each Unit; however, all seating arrangements will be assigned
by me.

What's the best way to get in touch with you?

Email. I will usually check phone messages daily; however, I check
for email messages several times during the day, and usually at least once
during the evening hours. (email: bob.randall@kcnativity.org)

When can I see you for help if I need it?

I work mornings Monday through Friday, and generally leave after Period 4
after lunch. However, I am at the school generally before 7:00 am. If you want
to see me before school, I would appreciate being notified the day before.

Is there any time in the afternoon when you are available?

On Tuesdays during "Mathcounts" season (Sept. - Jan.), I work at school in
the afternoon, generally with Enrichment planning and activities. However,
in critical circumstances and by special arrangement, meetings are possible
during these hours (with permission of your regular teacher during that time
period).

Where do I go to get my assignments?

Assignments for the next class day will be posted on the board when you
enter class. This is your PRIMARY assignment source, and you are expected
to write the assignment in your assignment notebook. As a backup, you will
be able to find your assignments on Educonnect. Please note: I do not
repeat the assignments on this (Teacherweb) website, since duplication is
unnecessary
extra work for me, and such duplication often leads to errors and/or
inconsistencies.
