Do students attend parent orientation?

This evening is just for parents and guardians to get information about the
school year.

What do I do with the reading log?

Your child will be going to the library on Tuesdays and Fridays.  We check out
2 books at a time if the previous books have been returned.  It is important
for your child to practice reading at home nightly.  Read the books 2-3 times
with your child before you return them to school.  Record the name of the book
on the log and initial it to show that reading practice has been done at home.
The more your child practices, the better he/she will get at reading.

How often do the students have music and p.e. this year?

The students have music and p.e. every day this year.  For p.e. they need to
wear tennis shoes.  It is easiest to have them wear tennis shoes to school
every day, but if they want to wear different shoes we do have a shoe changing
time right before music and p.e.

Who do I make the book order checks out to?

Please make checks out to Scholastic Book Clubs.  If you need to send cash, I
will write a check for the total cash collected. You may also order online and
use a credit card.  That info. will be sent with the first book order.
