I grew up in the Seaman district and attended East Indianola, Logan, and
Seaman. You can tell I've been teaching for a while, because East Indianola
and Logan no longer exist as I remember them.
This will be my 25th year teaching in the Seaman school district. I taught
sixth grade at Indian Creek for fourteen years, and this is my eleventh year
teaching first grade at Pleasant Hill. I can't believe how fast the years have
flown by. I'm now teaching children of some of my former sixth graders!
My husband, Bob, works for Schendel. We have four adult children. My baby
(Josh Rouse) is 21 now, and is working on a mass communications degree at
Washburn. My step-daughter, Heather, is a photographer in Virginia. My other
step-daughter, Jenn, just graduated from Washburn Law School. My
step-son, Bill, works for US Foods.
Bob and I love to travel, go to the movies, and patronize our favorite
restaurants.
