Mr. Nussbaum's website is full of activities and games for every subject. 
Once the page has loaded, click on a subject along the top and then scroll
down after the page has loaded.  Lots of academic games that are great for
intermediate grade levels.

Starfall - Primarily designed for first grade, Starfall is also useful for
pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and second grade.  Words on letters, sounds,
simple read aloud stories.  Great for younger kiddos.

Literactive - Teaching Children to Read
I received this link at an Assistive Technology training I went to and thought
it was great!
This site has all kinds of reading activities that including poetry, nursery
rhymes, printable sheets, ESL activities and e-books; most all of which also
have some comprehension checks built in. You do have to register, but it is
free and you don't have to give addresses or phone numbers unless you want to.
