LANCER SPRING BASKETBALL ACADEMY

This academy is the most intense, personalized, and serious basketball instruction for developing future players.  This is a high intensity camp for boys entering Grades 3^rd thru 8^th.   

 

What:             This is an individual skills improvement camp that will allow young men to enhance their

                                          Basketball skills and become the best players they can possibly be.

 

Where:           Shawnee Mission East High School 7500 Mission Road – enter through Mission Road lot and follow large sidewalk down the ramp. 

When:            6 sessions on Monday and Tuesday Nights:

ALL GRADE LEVELS 7:00pm-9:00pm

Tuesday April 7^th

Monday April 13^th, Tuesday April 14^th

Monday April 20^th

Monday April 27^th, Tuesday April 28^th

 

Necessary Equipment:

Participants will need a jump rope and a tennis ball, basketballs will be provided.

 

Primary Focus: Ball-handling, Shooting, Individual Moves and Listening Skills.  The Academy will be using the Don Eddy Skill System.  This unique system teaches the player the most effective way for their body to perform offensive skills and it allows both the coach and the athlete to understand the “Why” of doing things.  This camp will also introduce team offensive and defensive concepts.

 

Instructor: Shawn Hair- Head Varsity Basketball Coach at SMEast along with the rest of the Lancer staff and players.

                  Each young man will receive an Adidas Lancer Basketball Academy T-Shirt.  Enrollment is limited, so register early.  Coach to camper ratio is kept at a low rate, so as to allow the most individualized instruction possible.
