Preschool Newsletter

It has been a wonderful year and we hope you and your child have enjoyed being part of St. Ann Young Child Center as much as we have enjoyed having each and every one of you. There are many delightful memories that will always be part of our lives. The staff would like to thank you for sharing your child with us this year. It has been a pleasure.

Thanks to all who filled out the Parent Advisory Board Survey and returned it back to school. The board will review all comments and evaluate each need. We have a tie. The class winners of the survey are session 50, Miss Mary's 3 year old morning class and Miss Ann and Miss Joann's afternoon 4 year old class. They both had 50% of their surveys returned. The children in those classes will celebrate by having an ice cream treat on May 8 or 9 during their classroom time.

We would like to invite all preschool families to join us at Harmon Park ( near 77th Street and Mission Rd.) for a family style picnic on Friday, May 18. This date has changed from the calendar as stated in the April newsletter. We will not meet at school that day, (except for Session 60 and 70, Miss Debbie's and Mis Jacinda's full-time classes). Instead, we will all meet at the park at 11:00, socialize with one another, and eat lunch at about 11:30. The Young Child Center will provide tableware and chicken. We are asking each family please, to bring something to share with the group. The class list below will help split the items:

Session:  Items to Bring: Serving Amount:
 10 and 70 Desserts  15
 20, 30, 35, and 55 Salad or Veggie Tray  10
 40 and 50 Drinks  20
60  Chips  2 lg. bags

Please note: There is not a rain date for the picnic. If the weather does not cooperate, we will have to cancel the picnic. Let us pray for good weather.

There are medical forms out by the foyer. Please pick one up if you will be going to your child's doctor before June. This form will also be mailed to you during the summer. Remember, the state requires that every student have a physican's evaluation each year.

Please continue to check out our website. We will continue to update it during the summer months so that you will have the latest information thoughout the summer. Thanks to all who have visited our web page. If you have any comments or suggestions on improving it, let us know.

The last day of part-time preschool and extended day will be May 16. The last day for full-time preschool is May 25.

Thank you! I would like to take this opportunity to thank all moms, dads, grandparents, and friends of all our students who took time out of their busy schedule to volunteer and help in all the different areas of the Young Child Center. Your support and time is irreplaceable.

Have a fun and safe summer!

Once again, thank you for entrusting your children and their education with us.
