American Lang. Arts

                        The month of November

American has started their creative writing. They have been brainstorming
ideas about what is behind the mystery door. Once they finish this process,
they will write an opening, 3-4 paragraphs, and then a closing.

Spelling and Vocabulary will not have a test or lesson during the week of
November 23-25. Everyone is doing a wonderful job.

In English American will be learning about sentences, name of people, places,
things, pets, comma, quotations, and titles.

American has started a new individual reading program. Everyone filled out a
calendar that tells how many pages a day they will read. It can be either 15
or 20 pages. Each day I will mark off a square which has the number of pages
they are reading. If they read ahead then I will put a line in the square,
otherwise they will get an X the next square. After completing the book,
they will have different assignments that has to do with their book. Once
they are finished with the paper work, they take it home, have you look over
it, sign it, then bring it back and turn it in. They may start their next
book. Please ask your son or daughter to look at the calendar and explain it
to you.

The November book report is due November 30th.
