Here is a look at some of the activities we have planned for the week of
November 30.
Monday: After the long break, we will revisit our early reader books. We
will also continue to work on our addition skills and add a new entry to our
writing journals.
Tuesday: The season of Advent will be our focus today. We will talk about
the importance of Advent and make our own Advent wreaths out of tissue paper,
construction paper, paper plates and glitter. We will also review our
measuring skills using the rulers.
Wednesday: Fractions will be the topic of the day. We will begin talking
about whole, halves, and fourths. We will also introduce a new word family
and begin talking about the Christmas story and the importance of angels to
the story.
Thursday: In addition to our classroom meeting, we will continue exploring
fractions.
Friday: We will spend some time making Christmas stockings for our
classroom. We will also review our graphing skills by graphing various
symbols of Christmas.
