Preschool students check out each time they visit the library (about once a month).                

Preschoolers check out 1 book at a time.  Parents, please return the books to Mrs. Johnson when you finish with them and she will see that they are returned to the library.  Preschoolers will not check out a new book unless the previous book has been returned.

 

 

Kindergarten visits the library on Tuesday each week. Kindergarten students will check out one book. Parents, please help students get into the routine of returning books weekly. If a child forgets their book, they will be allowed to check out a second book, BUT, they will not be allowed to have more than two books out at a time.

 

 

1st grade will check out each week on Tuesdays. They will be allowed to have 2 books

checked out at a time. At least 1 of the books should be a picture book (we call them "E"   for "Everybody" books). Parents, please help students get into the habit of returning at least one of their books each week. They will not be allowed to check out if they already have two books out.

 

 

2nd graders may have two books checked out at a time.  Students are encouraged to return one or both books each week, if possible.  Books will be considered overdue after 3 weeks.

Orange class will normally check out on Monday each week.

Green class will check out on Tuesdays.

 

 

3rd  through 6th grade  students may have 2 books for personal reading (plus books that are required for language arts class, book reports, etc.)  Books for personal reading may be kept for 3 weeks.  Books required for book reports or other assignments may be kept as long as needed to complete class requirements.

 

 

3rd Graders will normally checkout on Tuesday each week.

 

 

Intermediate students have scheduled checkout times once each week but will have frequent additional checkout opportunities.
