Week of Dec. 7
Changes in the checkout schedule!
2nd and 3rd graders have been reading so much
that I am going allow them to checkout each time they come to the library.
Green class has library on Wed. and Thurs; Orange
on Mon. and Thurs.; Red on Tues. and Wed.; and Yellow on Mon. and Wed.
Kindergarten and first grade will still check out
once per week.
Intermediate
students have scheduled checkout times once each week but will have frequent
additional checkout opportunities.
Monday:
2nd grade Orange

grade Yellow
5th
grade Iberia
and Sabena
6th
grade Lufthansa and Varig
Tuesday:
Preschool
*about every 3rd week
Kindergarten

grade Blue and Purple
3rd

Wednesday: Preschool
*about every 3rd week

grade American and Qantas

Preschoolers
check out 1 book at a time.
Parents, please
return the books to Mrs. Johnson when you finish with them and she will see
that they are returned to the library. Preschoolers
will not check out a new book unless the previous book has been returned.
Kindergarten and
1st grade students check out 1 book at a time and may keep it for a
week, with renewals if needed. If
a child forgets to return a book, a second book may be checked out BUT that is
the limit. No
further checkouts will be allowed until one or both books are returned.
2nd
graders may have two books checked out at a time.
Students
are encouraged to return one or both books each week, if possible.
Books will be considered overdue after 3 weeks.
3rd
through 6th
grade students
may have 2 books for personal reading plus one as required for language arts
class, book reports, etc. Books
for personal reading may be kept for 3 weeks.
Books
required for book reports or other assignments may be kept as long as needed
to complete class requirements.
