Music News

For the week of Nov. 30th - Dec. 4th:

***Please see important updates on the Band and Alleluia Singers pages***

Preschool through 3rd grade are all working very hard to prepare the music
for the Christmas program. They are learning motions to the songs as well as
where to stand for the program. They are very excited to share their musical
selections with their families!

Our newly formed Fourth Grade Recorder Choir is preparing to perform on the
Christmas Concert! They have many musical selections to work on before
concert time! We're learning a few more notes this week and practicing
performing as a group.

Fifth grade is reviewing music notation and completing worksheets to improve
their understanding of music notation. They are also reviewing rhythm cards
to reinforce skills they have learned in the past.

Sixth graders continue to perfect their composer projects this week. They
can do some research at home or at the libray if they would like. I would
prefer no information from Wikipedia.org due to the fact the users can edit
the articles. Their presentations should include both music and pictures. I
will be helping them to put music in their presentations.

LUFTHANSA presentations are DUE on Monday, Dec. 7th (during Spanish class.
They will present their projects on Tuesday, Dec. 8th and Wednesday, Dec. 9th.

VARIG presentations are DUE on Tuesday, Dec. 8th (during Music class) and
they will present their projects on Wednesday, Dec. 9th and Tuesday, Dec.
15th.
