I graduated from Kansas State University in 1983 with a degree in elementary
education. I taught 6th grade for one year at St. Patrick's in KCK the '83-
'84 school year. I was a stay-at-home mom for 17 years to my 4 children. I
returned to the classroom in 2000 at the 5th grade level after
substituting 2 years at St. Joseph. This is my 12th year at St. Joe.
I have been married to my husband, Steve (KSU-'81), for 30 years. My
children: Laura- a 2003 KSU graduate, teaching Middle School Spanish
in the Park Hill school district; Scott-a 2006 PSU graduate, working for
Toyota in Portland, OR; Tim- a 2010 graduate of the University of North
Carolina at Charlotte, employed by Enterprise ; and Kevin- a junior at
Baker University (basketball). We also have been blessed with a grandson,
Charlie, born May 8, 2010.
Thank you for the opportunity to teach your child this year.
To provide a safe and positive classroom where spiritual and academic growth
will continue to develop in each child. For each student to feel successful
about classroom accomplishments.
