The two sister organizations of the Dixie Heights High School Amateur Radio
Club (KY7ARET and K4CO) need help with Paddlefest. They will be providing
communication using local repeaters for the boats on the river during the fest.
It will be for the morning of June 23rd and will probably last half a day. If you
would like to take part and get some real life practice at handling communications
please contact me and I will send you the email address to volunteer. This would
be an excellent opportunity to practice your amateur radio skills and see real life
communication. I would like to see several of you volunteer. Remember these are
the two organizations that volunteer their time to help us and KY7ARET provides
the handheld for our class.

There will be a radio club meeting  April 16th in room 1306 after
school.

I placed the instructions on how to build a uhf or vhf jpole antenna
on the handouts page. I also placed a link on the links page with a
calculator and diagrams of how to build a uhf or vhf ground plane
